This year we will be offering the Hindley Directory in both a print and on-line version. The price for both is $16. Be on the lookout for an email from A to Z Directories for instructions on how to order. Once you sign up for the on-line directory you will automatically be on the list to receive the print copy. Deadline to order is October 1. Print directories will be going home in backpacks the week of October 9. If you have any questions please email Bridget Moran.

Please come to meet your child’s teachers, visit the classroom, and learn about this year’s curriculum.

Special Area Teachers and Specialists will be in their classrooms throughout the evening. Please stop in to say hi and see their learning spaces.
Refreshments will be served in the Common Room and passed around in the main hallways.
Also, be sure to stop by the Farmer’s Market in the Common Room with bountiful produce from our Hindley Edible Garden.
The PTO Class Coffees are taking place at 9:15 on Monday, Sept. 11th for gradesK, 2 and 4, and at 9:15 on Tuesday, Sept. 12th for grades 1, 3 and 5. To help alleviate parking issues, please consider walking if you live nearby or carpooling. St. John’s Church, next door to Hindley on Post Road, has kindly offered to allow our parents to use its parking lot. If you do use this parking lot, you may only use the back parking lot. Please do NOT park along the driveway that borders the Hindley grounds, and please do NOT park in the front lot that is closest to the church and pre-school, as pre-school will be in session. Please keep these rules in mind if you use the St. John’s parking lot for any Hindley event.
We are excited to announce that Girls On The Run will be returning to Hindley this fall for girls in grades 3-5! Together, we will inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
For more information on the program, visit www.girlsontherun.org. Our 10-week season will meet on Monday mornings from 7:15-8:15 am and Friday afternoons from 2:55-4:00 pm, beginning on September 18. Throughout the sessions we will encourage positive emotional, social, mental and physical development that culminates in a local 5k race the first weekend in December. Great news for Hindley Happening! We have added a day to ride the amusement rides! All rides will open this Friday May 12th from 4:00-9:00 pm for everyone to enjoy. Not to worry about dinner either! Pizza, chips and water will be sold at our Pizza Tent from 5:00-8:00 pm. There will also be ice cream available from World’s Best Sundae Ice Cream booth along with all the fun amusement refreshments such as cotton candy, popcorn and fried dough.
To make this possible, we need some help in our ticket booth (7 volunteers), pizza tent (4 volunteers) and treasury room (2 volunteers). We have aded the various volunteer time slots for these areas. Please click on the Signup Genius link for the time slots available in the different areas. We know if we work together we can make this extra day very special and memorable for all!
Please keep in mind that Hindley Happening is still scheduled and on for Saturday May 13th too! All the fun games and prizes, exciting silent auction, food trucks, bake sale and rides will be available. Your support is needed to make our fundraiser as successful as possible. Parents Please Note: Because of the timing of this added event, we urge all parents/caregivers to take use precautions when arriving and leaving Hindley School and ask that our Hindley Families do their share in overseeing those attending to ensure everyone’s safety.
This year’s Hindley Happening to be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017. As always this promises to be a fun-filled day and of course it is Hindley’s biggest fundraiser, and we can’t do it without your help! In addition to food, games and rides, we have a lot of events in the days leading up to the Hindley Happening including raffles such as our popular Fast Pass and Principal and Vice-Principal for a Day raffle sales, Hindley Cookie sales and more.
