The topic of smartphones, social media and mental health has been gaining momentum in recent weeks. OK To Delay Darien is a local organization hoping to bring education and a collective action response to Darien.
Mission Statement: Our mission is to unite parents who share a growing concern regarding the negative effects of early and excessive smartphone use along with the implications of early use of social media. We are dedicated to building a community of educated, empowered, and supportive parents and students with the common goal to delay smartphone use for young children and tweens. Let’s protect grade school and middle school for our kids and reverse the devastating trends we are seeing in mental health.
