Celebrate 250 years of Middlesex Parish history with a day of immersive colonial life demonstrations. From 10am-1pm at the Museum of Darien: members of the Fifth Connecticut Regiment, dressed in authentic period attire, will showcase daily life and artisan skills from the 18th century.
A silhouette artist will be on-site creating timeless portraits; advance bookings available for $35 per silhouette. Head to Mather Homestead from 2-4 p.m. for a historic battle reenactment, The British are Coming! And all day, view 250 markers at Highland Farm that tell the stories of Darien’s history and more.
