Dear Parents of 4th and 5th graders and other interested parents,
You are invited to attend a meeting regarding SBAC (Smarter Balance Assessment Consortium) on Monday, October 5th, at 9:30 a.m. in the Common Room. At that time, I will provide information regarding the new tests. As you know 2015 was the first operational year of the new state assessments. In 2014, about 90 percent of school districts administered the Smarter Balanced field test in lieu of the CMT tests. This informational meeting will be a good time to hear what the assessments are about and how the results are reported.
