We have been talking a lot about the Hindley PTO funding enrichment activities and field trips but what does that mean-What are you donating and bidding for?
Enrichment activities are planned and paid for by the PTO. The enrichment committee has worked extremely hard to secure amazing activities and performances for the year – A Flamenco Dance performance happened in September, an Extreme Science demonstration is scheduled for the end of the month, Improv4Kids is coming in January, in February a special author visit is on the calendar, Bots! The secret world of Robots is planned for March and we are closing out the year with a BMX air show in May!
The PTO funds at least 2 field trips a year for each grade. The PTO pays for all the students to attend and pays for the buses to transport everyone there. The field trips are currently being planned by the teachers and staff!
The PTO also supports the teachers. The PTO supplies classroom set up funds for teachers, stocks the teachers lounge and organizes breakfasts and lunches throughout the year to show our teachers and staff love! Happy Teachers means Happy Kids!
