Hindley Holiday Market | Dec 12th

The first ever Hindley Holiday Market will take place on the rain date Sunday, December 12th from 2pm-4pm outside on the Hindley field. Bringing the community together, the Hindley Holiday Market will have a variety of activities and events.  Here’s what you can expect:

  • Cookie decorating;
  • Crafts & Games;
  • Kids Holiday Gifts: Tell the kids to break out their wallets as they will have the opportunity to purchase gifts for friends and families with their own money.  Kids can select from a selection of items priced between $1-$5 and will walk away with their gifts wrapped and labelled.
  • Shopping: we have an exciting lineup of vendors including parents and staff from within the Hindley community as well as town favorites.
  • Teacher Experience Auction: Principal for a day, breakfast with the VPs and more, the auction of teacher experiences will be available at the market, so don’t miss your chance to bid!

Giving Back to our Community

In the spirit of the holidays, the Hindley Holiday Market is providing a variety of opportunities for families to give back to our community.

  • Holiday Bake Sale: please consider volunteering to provide items to sell at our bake sale and sign up HERE.  Proceeds will go towards funding classroom projects at elementary schools in neighboring towns.
  • Spiritwear Resale: free up drawer space and keep the Hindley tradition alive by donating your outgrown spiritwear! There will be a collection box outside the school beginning Wednesday, December 1st for you to drop off items. Proceeds will go towards funding classroom projects at elementary schools in neighboring towns.
  • P2P collection: We will be collecting books and board games to support the Person 2 Person holiday toy drive. All book and board games should be new and unwrapped and can be dropped off at the Kids Care table in the market. After dropping off your donations, stay and make a holiday card for residents at our local nursing homes.
  • 5thGrader Project: Hindley Librarian, Jackie Heyde, has worked with the 5thgraders to create creative, homemade coasters which will be available for purchase. Proceeds of the sale will be funding classroom projects at elementary schools in neighboring towns.
